In this documentary, in the form of a satellite map, you can trace 100 years of railroad history from 1830 up to 1930. You can follow the location of Casey Jones’ last train before he died, and the sites of the Hammond Circus Train Wreck, the Wreck of the Old 97, the Wellington avalanche, the Getå railroad disaster, the Norwalk rail accident, the Staplehurst rail crash, the Green Mountain train wreck, the Weesp train disaster, and the entertainment of the deliberate Crash at Crush.

The linked stories tell of train history involving human error, mechanical failures, storms, fate, tragedy, sacrifice and of course destruction. Stories of trains plunging into rivers, crashing down mountain sides, wiping out train stations, death and miraculous survival
